We were excited to be a part of this beautiful kitchen project even though our piece was a small component of the finished look.
Our customer came to us to build and install a tall island bar as a feature piece in their kitchen reno.
Instead of going with similar materials used in the cabinetry or stone countertop they felt that the addition of a wood material would would carry the warmth of their wood flooring into the eating space.
They chose Manitoba Oak for its richness in character and colour.
The island bar features double cascades with mitered corner joints. We added strength and a modern visual detail with use of splines in the miter joints.
Details: 41-1/2″ high x 73″ wide x 17-1/2 deep cascading salvaged Manitoba Oak island eating bar counter natural in colour finished with OSMO Hardwax Polyx Oil clear coat.
