The beauty of Reclaimed Elm Wood Flooring

Our Reclaimed Elm flooring is made from landfill diverted American Elm trees that have been cut down due to Dutch Elm Disease. It's such a shame that one of our favorite Manitoba trees is becoming more rare.

Elm wood is a natural colored wood with warm white to honey colored tones and varying grey swirling grains and markings. It's a beautiful wood that has been suprisingly overlooked in North America for the last 30 years.

Reclaimed Engineered Elm Wood Flooring

Our Reclaimed Engineered Elm is a one of a kind product in the world! Made from diseased Urban Boulevard trees destined for the landfill, we use a full 6mm (1/4") of solid elm as the top wear layer.  This means it can be refinished as many times as a solid wood floor.

The substrate is a 9 layer birch plywood laminated to the elm with formaldehyde free adhesives.  Each ply is 1/1
6 of an inch thick. Smaller than the standard resulting in a more stable floor.

We suggest using Osmo Polyx Oil for finishing, which is a repairable finish offering even more sustainability!  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it us today for more information.
